Creative Journey
Miguel Maldonado is a London-based experimental filmmaker, director, and video editor whose work has been presented at international festivals and exhibitions, earning recognition for its bold visual language. He studied Cinema and Photography in Madrid and Buenos Aires and has collaborated on a wide range of projects, from music videos and social media campaigns to art commissions for organisations including Warp Records, Instituto Cervantes, LaJuan Gallery and Goethe Institute.
A member of Collectif Jeune Cinéma (France) since 2018, Miguel works across Super 8, 16 mm, and digital formats, developing moving-image projects from concept to post-production. His films move between experimental cinema, documentary, and commissioned work, exploring surrealism, queer narratives, outsider perspectives, and the quiet tensions of identity.
Beyond filmmaking, Miguel organizes a Film and Music Festival in London, in collaboration with Iklectik art lab, creating a space for international artists to collaborate and showcase their work. His dedication to storytelling, innovation, and visual experimentation continues to push creative boundaries, making his work both thought-provoking and visually captivating.
